Yale Open Course- African American History: From Emancipation to the Present
This open course examines the African American experience in the United States from 1863 to the present. Its themes include the end of the Civil War and the beginning of Reconstruction; African Americans’ urbanization experiences; the development of the modern civil rights movement and its aftermath; and the thought and leadership of Booker T. Merce Cunningham Trust
The Cunningham Trust stages Cunningham’s choreography for professional and student dancers around the globe. In celebration of his hundredth birth anniversary the Trust and its licensees are offering free public access to streamed performances of a selection of Cunningham repertory presented during the recent Cunningham Centennial Celebration. A new performance will be posted every Monday and will be available for one month on the Trust website and the Vimeo channel.
